I've wanted to be a writer ever since I was a kid. I don't know if I'll ever become one, but I'm going to try my best.

It’s beautiful that you’ve carried this dream with you since childhood. Doubts are part of any creative path, but the fact that you’re still trying shows strength and real commitment. Keep showing up—writing isn’t just about talent, it’s about resilience and growth. I believe in you.

This really stayed with me.

Especially the part about how our words still matter, even in the silence.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget that.

Thank you for the reminder. truly.

I love this. We are all so worried about AI, but AI is about output. For the writer, all the gains—the redemption—come from the process of writing.

Not writing the story burning in your bosom is like a death sentence...a series of elipses flatlining..............................

Thank you for calling us to rise from the dead.

Sigh...thank you. So much of life is the middle way between two extremes; balancing opposites and holding the tension lightly. On the one hand: passion and drive. On the other: disciplined pursuit of excellence in daily, mundane, skill-building (but otherwise unimpressive) ways. I'm great at the first, but working hard to cultivate its opposite (or maybe complementary?) pole. And yes, I need to constantly remember the why (which is not external).

Anyway, thank you. This was generous of you.

I believe that it's wonder and awe and curiosity that keeps the fire lit. Tenacity and perseverance and stoic resolve work in consort as well. So many stories to tell so short and vast is life

Yes, I agree. Wonder and curiosity make writing exciting. Staying strong and not giving up also helps us keep going. “so short and vast is life”—feels like a poem in itself. Thank you for sharing that spark.
